¹⁴ And they said, “Some say ^(A)John the Baptist; and others, ^[a](B)Elijah; but still others, ^[b]Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.” ¹⁵ He *said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” ¹⁶ And Simon Peter answered and said, “You are ^[c](C)the Christ, ^(D)the Son of ^(E)the living God.”
